Safety First.
Coyote Flight Centers is locally owned and operated by Teddy Acklin, a retired Amarillo Firefighter with a specialty in Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting and a member of AOPA, NAFI, FAASTeam, ARFF Working Group and real world experience. We believe that learning is an ongoing process for students, pilots and instructors. Coyote provides opportunities for continued learning for safety.
Customer Service. Our schedule is flexible for students, pilots and test takers and offer a friendly and relaxed environment to learn and visit. Just ask any of the Coyote APBs over lunch at the English Field House. As a service to the flying community, we provide aviation support even after you earn your certificate.
ATC Communications.
Our students a practice communications with ATC every time they fly, no matter where they fly. Confidence is built by communicating with ATC and helps when traveling to any type of airport across the nation.
Testing Center. Coyote Flight Centers is the only FAA designated testing facility within a 100 mile radius of Amarillo.
National Charting Agent. We are one of the national Chart Agents. Purchase charts and sectionals in our office or our online pilot shop. One time and standing orders are welcome. Special Sub-Agent pricing available.
Pilot Shop. We have a growing pilot shop that includes chart, sectionals, headsets, test prep materials, pilot essentials and other gadgets that pilots love! We are a dealer for David Clark, Sporty's and more. ASA,King and Sporty's Private and instrument DVD classes are available in the office. We are one of the national Chart Agents. Purchase charts and sectionals in our office or in our online pilot shop. One time and standing orders are welcome. Special Sub-Agent pricing available.
Student scheduling and resources. Students have a special access to view the schedule, find helpful files online, many safety and learning resources including programs and mentors.
Sight Seeing Tours by Air. Don't forget to bring the kids. If you have a special request, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Coyote Flight Centers is authorized by the FAA to conduct air tours under Part 91.147.
Community Involvement. We are members of Civil Air Patrol, FAA Safety Team and Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. We participate in programs with Amarillo Independent School District, Amarillo College and Challenge Air.
